Product Care

CARE FOR YOUR GEAR

Mud, sand, slobber? Bring it on.
Gray and Hound gear is made for real dogs and real adventures, which means it’s designed to be easy to clean and easy to keep looking good.

Choose what you’re cleaning below.

DOG COLLARS + LEASHES

For everyday dirt

  1. Rinse under warm water to loosen dirt and grime.
  2. Add a small amount of mild dish soap. We prefer Dawn dish soap.
  3. Gently scrub with a soft-bristled brush or sponge.
  4. Rinse thoroughly & repeat until clean.
  5. Air dry completely.

For tougher stains

Spot treat the area with a small amount of stain remover, gently scrub again with mild soap, then rinse thoroughly.

After salt water

Give all metal hardware a thorough fresh-water rinse after ocean adventures and allow it to dry completely.

Skip the washer + dryer.
Hand washing is the gentlest way to protect your gear, hardware, and printed fabric.

SILICONE ID TAGS

A little soap goes a long way.

Wash with warm water and mild dish soap, then rinse and dry.

For dirt caught around lettering or small details, use a soft toothbrush.

NOMAD MATS

Shake it out. Wash it up. Get back outside.

For a deeper clean:

  • Machine wash cold on the lowest setting
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not use fabric softener
  • Air dry only

TRAILSIDE BOWLS

Rinse, wash, dry, repeat.

For cleaning:

  • Hand wash cold
  • Do not bleach
  • Air dry only

HARDWARE CARE

KEEP THE HARDWARE HAPPY

Fresh water is your friend. After swimming in the ocean, exposure to road salt, or especially muddy adventures, rinse the hardware thoroughly and allow it to dry completely.

Surface wear over time is normal.

A FEW THINGS TO AVOID

NO BLEACH
Harsh cleaners can damage materials and color.

NO DRYER
Let your gear air dry.

NO FABRIC SOFTENER
Skip it on Nomad Mats to help preserve the material.

NO CHEW TESTING
Built for adventure. Not for being eaten.
